Nick first started messing around on a drum kit when he discovered one in a family members’ garage. However, he didn’t find his love for it until he played Guitar Hero World Tour. Once he got his first drum kit at age 15, you couldn’t get him off it.
He started learning by ear and watching videos on YouTube from bands like Metallica, Lamb of god, Deftones, Limp
Bizkit and Northlane to name a few. Then he began taking professional lessons.
He moved on to jamming in garages with mates, learning how to write music. This lead to playing in his first band “Sleepless”, a alternative rock group for a few years.
Through exploring his wide music taste, Nick discovered his love for heavy music and from 2017 he is best known for his work in Melbourne metalcore band ATLVS.
Coming off their second EP “The Wound, The Blade”, ATLVS have been working very hard touring the country multiple times, and getting the opportunity to play shows with bands Erra, Windwaker, Gravemind, The Gloom in the Corner, Pridelands and many more.
Nick draws inspiration from artists such as Abe Cunningham, Elliot Hoffman, Chris Adler, Ryan Torf, Sean Radcliffe and Niclas Bergström to name a few.
Be on the lookout for ATLVS, because they are not slowing down anytime soon!
