Jess is from the northern suburbs of Melbourne, and currently plays for her funk rock band Ramona Sky. She has always had a passion for music from a very young age, starting off with piano and singing lessons from 3 years old and then realised the drum kit was for her at the age of 10.
Since then, she joined a number of different bands throughout high school playing both alternative rock and funk, which guided her influences of Tower Of Power, Snarky Puppy, Arctic Monkeys, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Strokes, just to name a few.
Growing up, Jess was mentored by Daniel Luttick and is now mentored by Daniel Hanson from Ball Park Music.
In Ramona Sky, Jess is the drummer, backing vocalist and songwriter for the band. In 2022 Ramona Sky were nominated for 'Best Group' by the Music Victoria Awards, and they also released their debut EP in the same year. The band have played many live gigs around Melbourne's most iconic music venues since 2020, and are known for their funky and powerful repertoire and ecstatic live shows.
Jess also currently plays drums for shoegaze band Human Intrusion, and plays ukulele and sings backing vocals in her ukulele trio Luna The Moon. In the past, Jess played drums for bands Kid Sidney, and Empire Five, in which she performed at Queenscliff Music Festival, opened for Claire Bowditch and gained radio play on Triple M.
