Jake spent his younger years banging on buckets,
pizza boxes and pretty much any object he could find! After begging his father to fund the purchase Jake finally made his way behind the kit at the age of 11.
Initially drawing inspiration from bands such as
Metallica, Bullet For My Valentine, All time low and
A Day To Remember. Jake eventually discovered and studied the work of artists such as Matt Halpern, Benny Greb and Thomas Lang.
You could always find Jake jamming in the school band room during lunch time from years 7 to 12. He relished every opportunity to perform at school related assemblies and gigs and used these as a
stepping stone to form his first band "Fear Of Flying Objects" in 2015.
Over the next 3 years, the punk outfit released 2 EP's, paving the way to share the stage with bands such as Moose blood, Set the Score, Eat Your Heart out,
Stuck Out and more, before deciding to part ways in 2018.
In November of 2018 Jake joined Heavy new comers "Weighbridge" who released their Debut single "Use" shortly after. The band is set to hit the
Melbourne circuit with a bang in 2019, playing alongside Void of Vision and Thornhill in January.
You can expect to see them around often as they
finalise writing for their First EP.
